The St. Lawrence Junior Golf Tour has been in existance for over 3 decades It consists of approximately 10 individual golf courses in the general Gananoque-Kingston-Belleville-Trenton corridor each hosting a tournament as part of the Junior Tour. The philosophy of the tour is to provide fun, be a competitive tour for Junior Golfers aged 10-19. It is an opportunity to develop their skills, play new courses, meet new friends, and develop their knowledge of the rules of the game.The tour is a stepping stone for the top 2 players in each Division who will be selected for for the St. Lawrence Junior Team to represent us at the annual Ontarion Junior Team Championship.

The tour has provided the opportunity for young juniors to attend University and College on golf scholarships. Graduates of the St. Lawrence Junior Tour include LPGA Tour Member Brooke Henderson , as well as PGA Tour member Matt McQuillan and Nationwide Tour member and winner Jon Mills along with several Canadian Tour members such as Brad Revell and Oliver Tubb. We also have a number of players who have gone on to careers as teaching professionals and as golf club managers.

The Purpose is:

  • To promote the game of golf.

The Mission is:

  • To introduce and develop a golf program for Junior Golfers
  • To teach a) the rules of golf and b) the etiquette of golf
  • Promote an annual competitive Junior Golf Tour
  • Provide a foundation for those Juniors who want to pursue the game  

                    - professionally,
                    - obtain a scholorship
                    - or a career in golf manangement  

There are currently 5 divisions: 

  • Girls (U19)
  • Atom Boys/Girls      (U11)
  • Peewee Boys          (U13)
  • Bantam Boys          (U15)
  • Juvenile Boys         (U17)
  • Juniors Boys           (U19)
